Reno, Nevada

First time out of California, into gambling country, Nevada. We were up early in the morning packing bags - bit repetitive by now (;

It is a 4 hour drive from San Francisco to Reno, though took us about 6-7 hours with stops and detours.Our main stop was in a town called 'Truckee' where we had lunch. After stopping at Truckee we made a detour down to 'Lake Tahoe', amazing! The lake was the bluest (is that a word?) water I've ever seen! Very beautiful.

Back on the road, across the border and into Reno, a city in the middle of a desert. We checked in at about 5:00 and had a swim to cool off. For dinner we went out to the 'Circus Circus' Casino. At night Reno turns into a mini Vegas! Casinos in every direction.

The dinner there was great, I had a breakfast.. though the best part was after dinner. The casino had a huge arcade, and the prizes were even bigger. You saw people walking around with electric guitars, human size teddies, everything was big!

We didn't get home until about 12:15 so we are having a bit of a rest day today, Mum got up, had breakfast and came back upstairs and went straight to sleep!
