Ontario to Washington DC

Today, we were setting out on our last really big driving day for the trip. We were to go from Bolton, Ontario, across the Border into New York, through Pennsyvania and Maryland and into Washington DC and just as quickly out again as we are staying over the river in Virginia. But before we left Bolton, Kay had to take Gena for a spin in her Corvette Convertible whilst Scott took Bluey, Bailey and myself for a cruise in his fully restored 1970 Plymouth Superbird (which was the first NASCAR vehicle to do 200mph).

At the lights ready for a drag (we were no match for the Corvette)

We got underway by 9.15am and were at the border in 1.5 hours, but unfortunately we sat in line there for 45 minutes before we were able to have our passports checked and off we went again. Bluey was on a mission today and after stopping only for a fuel stop and a food stop, we arrived at our Virginia accommodation at 7.20pm. Bailey and I hardly noticed any of the trip as we were watching DVD's in the back. We found a great Italian restaurant around the corner and were in bed before midnight which is great for us on a travel day.
