Ontario, Canada

We arrived at Scott & Kay's at around 2.00pm. Not 10 minutes there & we were drooling over the beautiful cars in their garage, little did we know that these were only a few of their collection. We spent the rest of the day catching up, getting a tour of their house, and looking at their cars. In their backyard Scott has built a replica of a route 66 Gas Station, filled with collectibles, a very, very old small car inside. Outside he has the Dinoco bowser's and his matching coloured 1972 Chevrolet Cheyene pick-up.

Scott & Kay are Corvette enthusiasts, (we met them while they were travelling with one of their Corvette clubs), and the next day we saw some more of their collection. One as early as a 1956 Convertible that Scott had restored. Not only did they have lots of really cool cars in their garage, they also had a huge RV! This thing would've been 20 metres long! Once we were done at the garage, we went into Toronto to see the NHL Hockey Hall of Fame, we spent an hour and a half in their and I didn't even see half of it. Bluey was in heaven.

Later that day we went to a cruise night in a parking lot close to Scott & Kays house. A cruise night is where all the owners of custom cars come together once a week to show off their cars and socialize.

We then drove to the ice rink to see Scott play ice hockey, unfortunately we were late so we went straight to the after party. At 10:00pm, Bailey was in the outdoor pool, big surprise. We left later then planned, and went straight to bed as we had plans to travel to Lake Muskoka the next morning.

We took off early (for us) the next morning for Lake Muskoka but as we were booked on the 3.30pm cruise, we were able to take the scenic route. Scott & Kay took us to a few popular spots along the way which we were very interesting. We took in the Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre prior to our cruise which featured antique boats which were up to 100 years old.

These highly polished beauties would set you back a pretty penny too

Lake Muskoka is surrounded with massive houses along the lake front and also on the many islands in the lake. The only question was, does the price have a 1 or a 2 in front of the other 6 digits? There is a saying that goes 'if you can afford to live at Muskoka, you can afford not to be at Muskoka'. We took a ride on the lake from one of the worlds oldest - and largest steam ships. Some of the houses were just sublime, one family had a private sea-plane to take them back and forth from the island their house was on. It was quite a different experience I must say. Apparently a lot of NHL Hockey players have houses here and spend their summers in the area.

On the way home we hit another cruise night before we went to dinner, which had Choppers and Harley's as well as classic cars. Just before we were about to leave, a car came out, and put on a display of awesome hydraulics, finally finishing position of one wheel 8 feet in the air, and the rest going in different directions to support it. We took a lot of photos of that!

 The pictures say it all
This was just crazy.....

Today we went to the Blue Jays game in Toronto, sharing Scott & Kay's seats. Wow, the seats were 3 rows from the front, aisle seats right next to the opposition dug-out. 10 metres away from the batters. Even though the Jays had a big loss, it was still a great experience as there was an air-show going on above us while the game was played. Later in the game, after we had moved into the shade, Gena saw a lady get handed a game ball. Gena being Gena, went down there and gave the man a spiel of how she came all the way from Australia to see this game - it also helped she was wearing a Jays shirt. In the bottom of the 9th, a fly ball was hit, the man got a hold of it and Gena got her game ball, which she is still spruking about now.

Edwin Encarnacion fouled off the previous pitch in the bottom on the ninth, then hit this one for a home run

The foul ball ended up here with the cat that got the cream!!

Tonight we had our final supper with Scott & Kay before we make our way to Washington D.C tomorrow. They have been so good to us - too good! And we are very thankful we met them way back in the Badlands of South Dakota.

We have a lot more to add in the near future
~Riley.
