Saskatchewan to Manitoba

There was 13 of us that went out for Supper in Llloydminster last Monday evening. It was chance for Gena & Bluey to say thank you to Kim, Rhonda, Taylor & Maddison and also Derek, Kristine and the kids for the great hospitality and generosity they have shown us over our last 5 weeks. We had a great feed at Tony Roma's Steak, Seafood & Ribs restaurant. It was such a calm evening when we got to the restaurant but when we left a few hours later, we walked out into a major storm which ended up damaging a lot of crops across a large area. It must have lasted 2 hours and the lightning show was quite spectacular. So, after a fun filled 5 weeks based in Baldwinton, it was time to move on to Brookdale, Manitoba last Tuesday. Whilst it was very sad to be leaving our Saskatchewan family, it was also exciting to be heading for our Manitoba family - the Lavich's.

So, it was Tuesday morning after our goodbyes, we set off for the 9 hour drive East. With a couple of stops and also a time change, we arrived at John & Carolyn's at 9.00pm local time. No mucking around though, it was time to get in and start helping to get things organised for the Lavich Family reunion that was last weekend. More on that shortly.
